National Center for Vector-Borne Disease Control has organized an All-India poster making competition for schools students to celebrate Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.
The entries for the competition will be open for the period 20th December 2021 – 20th January 2022.
The official journey of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” commenced on 12th March 2021 and it is a 75-week countdown for the 75th anniversary of our Independence and will end on August 15, 2022.
The poster making competition has two components.
- All India poster making competition for school children during 20 December 2021 to 20 January 2022 – best entries will be selected by a jury.
- Tweeterthon on 31 January 2022: The top 16 posters will be tweeted through MoHFW’s tweeter handle along with messages/ posts pertaining to VBDs.
Theme or Topic of the competition is “UNITE TO FIGHT AGAINST VECTOR BORNE DISEASES”
Awards & Recognition
- Based on the preliminary screening committee hundred (100) best posters from Tweeterthon.
- Out of 100 best posters top sixteen (16) will be selected by a Jury.
- Then top 16 posters will be part of Tweeterthon organized by NCVBDC on MoHFW twitter handle.
Guidelines to participate in the competition:
- The aim of the competition is to enhance awareness amongst students regarding six vector-borne diseases Malaria, Dengue, Chikungunya, Japanese encephalitis (JE), Kala-azar, and Lymphatic Filariasis.
- The competition will be organized for the students enrolled in Grade 6th to 12th
- Category I – Classes 6th to 8th
- Category II – Classes 9th to 12th
- Participants must make a poster on full chart paper with a caption.
- All the participants shall receive participation certificate for their poster entries.
- Top 16 posters will be tweeted in Tweeterthon along with VBDs messages organized by NCVBDC on MoHFWs Twitter handle.
- Moreover, the best 16 posters will be digitally exhibited in the National Center for Vector-Borne Disease Control and will be awarded winning certificate.
- Selection criteria includes Creative, innovative, influential, and relevant to the contest theme.
