Roshan Gandhi, CEO of City Montessori School, recently signed an MoU with Alliance Française de Lucknow (AFL) for teaching French in all school campuses with a view to enhance employability skills, provide opportunities for pursuing higher studies in France, student exchanges, and many related initiatives for the promotion of French language and culture.
Mr. Mukesh Meshram, Commissioner, Lucknow Division along with M. Emmanuel Lebrun-Damiens, Counsellor for Education, Science and Culture at Embassy of France in India and country director, French Institute in India, and Zohra Chatterji, President, AFL were also present on the occasion.
Roshan Gandhi said, “CMS encourages its students to explore higher education options abroad. While France is home to some of the best universities in the world, at the same time, university fees in France are relatively quite low compared with the rest of Europe as most higher education institutions in France are funded by the state, therefore there is usually a nominal fee depending on the level of study.
Moreover, knowledge of an additional foreign language is a big advantage and enhances employability skills. Therefore, we wish to promote teaching French as a foreign language in our campuses”.
Dr. Jagdish Gandhi, Founder Manager of CMS said, “The world is shrinking. It is important for the youth to be able to converse in global languages so that they find it easier to mix with other cultures and nationalities. In its endeavor to produce global citizens, CMS promotes higher education options abroad, and scores of its students secure admissions in prestigious universities all over the world every year. Learning French in school will add to their existing skills”.
We appreciate the School’s Management in taking the efforts for the promotion of French Language.
