Diplomatic Position

CMS student in a top diplomatic position in Canada has made her school and city proud.

Ms. Apoorva Srivastava, an alumna of City Montessori School is the Consul General in the Consulate General in Toronto, Canada. Apoorva has studied at CMS Mahanagar and CMS Jopling Road Campuses. Always a bright student with a high aim, Apoorva paved her way to success beating all odds and coming out strong each time. Her father was the District Magistrate and her mother, a homemaker.

They instilled in her the values of hard work, the honesty of purpose, and commitment to duty. She did her M.A. in Psychology from Lucknow University. Thereafter she competed in the All India Civil Services Examination and was selected in the Indian Foreign Services (IFS) in 2001.

In her 19 year-long diplomatic careers, she has served twice in the Indian Embassy in Paris, France, and in the Indian Embassy at Kathmandu, Nepal. She has attended several international conferences and worked as a staff officer with Mrs. Sushma Swaraj, the then External Affairs Minister of India as well as Dr. S. Jaishankar. Today, as India’s Consulate General in Toronto, she heads the Consulate in Toronto, Canada. Ms. Apoorva Srivastava gives credit for her success to her school and to her teachers.

Remember CMS Founder-Manager, Dr. Jagdish Gandhi’s motivational speeches and the system of education she says, “(Here), we were taught to balance academic excellence, physical education, and extracurricular activities.”

We congratulate Ms. Apoorva Srivastava, an alumna of City Montessori School student on holding a diplomatic position in Canada.
