All religions of the world lead to the same goal. The time is ripe to accept the concept of One World One Family and World Brotherhood as exemplified in Indian thought and tradition. Vasudhaiv Kutumbkam is the need of the hour. These thoughts were expressed by the great thinkers and renowned religious scholars representing various nations at the International Interfaith Conference organized by City Montessori School, Asharfabad on its second day.
The common aim of all the major religions of the world is to spread happiness and unity among the people by teaching them how to attain inner peace and spirituality. On the second day of the virtual Conference, renowned scholars like Mr. Alyn Ware from Switzerland, Mr. Divino Roberto Verissimo from Brazil, Dr. Hong Tao Tze from the USA, and many more expressed their views and showed the path to peace and happiness of mankind. Also, well-known spiritual leaders further added to the luminosity of the event, and their views on love, equality, and tolerance were very well received by the eager listeners. Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr. Hari Om Sharma stated that religious scholars from Russia, Brazil, USA, Switzerland, Egypt, and India are participating in this significant two-day Interfaith Conference. The theme of the Conference is ‘Sustainable development through solidarity’.
On the second day of the Conference, Mr. Alyn Ware, a renowned scholar from Switzerland said that religion has a unique role to play in the life of man and it is necessary to establish peace and unity on earth. He said that such conferences must be promoted and held frequently. Mr. Hong Tao Zee from the USA stated that peaceful dialogues on a global platform will lead to the rapid progress of mankind. Mr. Divino Roberto Verissimo from Brazil stated that religion leads to an awakening in the minds of men and it is a unifying force. Acharya Dr. Lokesh Muni representing the Jain Religion was hopeful that the conference will go a long way in bringing about world unity and world peace by breaking down prejudices and false barriers. Sikh religious leader, Sardar Harpal Singh in the present times it is important for us to get a knowledge of all the religions and understand them deeply.
Mr. J M Dave representing the Hindu religion said that inter-faith dialogue helps us to shed away our differences and deal with the common factors in all the religions as they all lead to the same goal. Mr. N.S. Anand representing the Buddhist Faith said that the aim of religion is to bring about lasting unity and peacefulness in society. Maulana Khalid Rashid Firangi, a religious leader and scholar of Islam said that we must be respectful towards all religions. We must treat everyone equally as God treats us and maintain an atmosphere of love and brotherhood. Similarly, Maulana Kalbe Noori of Islam religion said that we must read all the religious scriptures to understand their meaning deeply and imbibe the basic philosophy of love and brotherhood taught by all the religions.
CMS Founder-Manager, Renowned Educationist, Dr. Jagdish Gandhi expressed his gratitude towards all the participating religious scholars and said that the atmosphere of love and togetherness created through this Conference by the learned persons of various religious faiths will go a long way in instilling feelings of love and harmony among mankind. It will also pave the way for a peaceful tomorrow for the coming generations. CMS President and MD, Professor Geeta Gandhi Kingdon said that learning and knowledge are like lamps illuminating the minds of men and driving away negative thoughts and false beliefs from society. Convenor of the International Interfaith Conference and Principal of CMS Asharfabad, Mrs. Trapti Dwivedi expressed her gratitude towards one and all present at the Conference and hoped that such discussions would continue in the future too.
