International Computer Olympiad 2020

The four-day International Computer Olympiad ‘E-COFAS 2020’ organized online by City Montessori School, Rajendra Nagar Campus I concluded on 30th November with great fanfare and show. Participating students and prize-winners of Russia, Jordan, Bangladesh, Oman, Qatar, and various states of India for various competitions were honored online at the ‘Closing-cum-Prize Distribution Ceremony’ amidst the colorful educational-cultural presentations. The Overall Championship was bagged by DPS Kalyanpur, Kanpur while the runner-up trophy went to Pathania Public School, Rohtak, Haryana.

City Montessori School, Kanpur Road Campus won the first prize in Confabulor (Debate) competition whereas Pathania Public School, Rohtak, Haryana won the first prize in Ad Tech (Advertisement) contest. Similarly, Sunbeam English School, Bhagwanpur, Varanasi won the first prize in the Rendition (Paper Presentation) contest; Little Angel’s High School, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh won the first prize in the E-COFAS Doodle contest; CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus I won the first prize in Creators (Logo designing) contest; DPS Kalyanpur, Kanpur won the first prize in The Footage (My Story, My Content) contest; Little Angel’s High School, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh won the first prize in Teenovations (Science Model) contest and DPS Kalyanpur, Kanpur won the first prize in Costek (Choreography) competition.

Chief Guest of the function, Mr. Shishir, IAS, Director, Information, UP, said in his address that due to restrictions of Corona pandemic CMS’ indomitable spirit encouraged it to organize this event online. I hope that this platform will widen students’ horizons and thoughts by providing them an opportunity to compete.

Mrs. Jayashree Krishnan expressed her belief that this computer olympiad has been successful in developing a scientific and technological outlook in students through competitions and mutual interaction. She invited the participating teams to participate in the next Cofas with the same vigor and enthusiasm. Renowned educationist and Founder of CMS, Dr. Jagdish Gandhi also blessed the participants from India and abroad and motivated them to use the knowledge for the benefit of the human race. Dr. Gandhi said that the time has now come for the students of the world to unite and begin a crusade for World Unity, Peace, and Justice.

Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr. Hari Om Sharma informed that different competitions were held at this four-day long International Computer Olympiad ‘E-COFAS 2020’ in which student teams from Russia, Jordan, Bangladesh, Oman, Qatar, and various states of India enthusiastically participated and displayed their creativity, ideas, and computer skills showing that they have the urge and competence to bring about a revolutionary change in the field of computer technology.
