International Geography Olympiad

The five-day International Geography Olympiad, ‘Geofest International’ being organized jointly by City Montessori School, Jopling Road, and Rajajipuram Campus II will be inaugurated online on Wednesday, 15th December at 4 pm by the Chief Guest, Shri Mahendra Singh, Minister for Jal Shakti, and Flood Control, Government of UP.

Student participants from Russia, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Ireland, and different states of India will participate and compete in various competitions in this international event. Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, Shri Hari Om Sharma informed that the objective of the International Geography Olympiad is to spread awareness among the youth about environment conservation. CMS believes that in this crucial phase of global warming and climate change, it is immensely important to make the youth aware of the critical condition of the environment so that they can understand the grave problem and work towards finding solutions to it.

Shri Sharma further informed that student participants of different countries will showcase their knowledge and talent through participation in a variety of interesting competitions such as Geo Plea (Traditional Folk Dance), Geo Taste (Fireless cooking), Geo Toons (Cartoon making), Geo Design (3D model making), Geo Expressions (Story Telling), Geo Fashion (Dress Designing), Geo Ads (Advertisement competition), Geo Quiz (Quiz competition), Geo Rhapsody (Group Dance), Geo Dialog (Group Discussion) and Geo Documentary (Paper presentation). Shri Sharma informed that through these interesting competitions on Geography and the environment, this event shall motivate the participants to work towards the conservation of our natural resources.
