The International Maths and Physics Olympiad ‘Mathephi 2020’ organized by City Montessori School, RDSO Campus came to a grand conclusion with an online Prize Distribution Ceremony held today. The Chief Guest on this occasion was the Mayor of Lucknow, Mrs. Sanyukta Bhatia who inaugurated the function virtually. Prize-winning students of 8 countries including Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, Bangladesh, Qatar, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, and various states of India were honored on this occasion amidst a scintillating educational-cultural programme. Students of India and abroad displayed their talents in Key Stage I (primary category), Key State II (junior category), and Key Stage III (senior category) competitions based on Mathematics and Physics at this international event. Students from 8 countries including India participated in this online event.
At the events of Key Stage I (primary category), Krishna Dubey of CMS Aliganj Campus I won the first prize in Jingle It Lour (Jingle) Competiton while Vedansh Rajput of Delhi Public School, Jalandhar won the first prize in Harangue (Declamation) Contest. Similarly, in Key Stage II (junior category) competitions, the first prize of Expressions (Poster Making) competition went to Preeti Mukherjee of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I; first prize of Math-Trix competition went to Nguyen Duo Anh of Dai Kim Secondary School, Vietnam and the first prize of Physi-Trix competition went to Nguyen Hong Phuc of Ai Mo Secondary School, Vietnam. In Key Stage III (senior category) competitions, the first prize of the Panorama (working model) competition went to Anchita Bhutani of St. Marks Sr. Sec. School, New Delhi; first prize of Math-Trix competition went to Naman Mishra of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I, and the first prize of Physi-Trix competition went to Georgi K. Kostadinov of High School of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Bulgaria.
Expressing her views at the Closing cum Prize Distribution Ceremony of Mathephi 2020, the Chief Guest, Mrs. Sanyukta Bhatia, Mayor, Lucknow said that it is indeed commendable on the part of CMS to provide a global platform to the budding mathematicians and scientists from India and abroad to display their knowledge and skills. She motivated the students to regard their knowledge of various subjects as the gift of God and use them for the benefit of the human race. Earlier, the students of CMS RDSO Campus presented an online scintillating educational-cultural programme in honor of the participating teams from India and abroad.
Extending his blessing to the participating budding scientists and mathematicians, CMS Founder and renowned educationist, Dr. Jagdish Gandhi said that CMS aims at instilling a scientific outlook and feelings of global brotherhood in students. He expressed his happiness that students have got the opportunity to mingle through this international event and to look at the world as one global family. Chief Executive Officer of CMS, Mr. Roshan Gandhi also congratulated the prize winners of India and abroad. The Convenor of Mathephi-2020 and Principal of CMS RDSO Campus, Mrs. Jyotsna Atul motivated the students saying that all the participating students are the winners because they have all learned something new and their goals ahead are challenging them to rise to heights of glory and success.
