National Education Day 2020

National Education Day 2020 to be celebrated in schools.

On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad 11th November is celebrated as National Education Day. Maulana Abul Kalam Azad was a great freedom fighter, eminent educationist, and the first Union Minister of Education. He was the first education minister of independent India who served from 15th August 1947 until 2nd February 1958.

To celebrate National Education Day, schools are requested to organize online seminars; symposia; essay writing, slogan writing, elocution, and poster-making competitions for the students.

The aim of these events should be

  • to spread the importance of education and
  • the Nation’s commitment to all aspects of education on November 11, 2020.
  • Maulana Abul Kalam Azad was born on November 11, 1888.

Moreover, the Schools are requested to make necessary arrangements for the celebration of the National Education Day on 11th November 2020 through virtual mode. They should also strictly adhere to the guidelines issued by the Government of India for the prevention of the spread of COVID-19.

The events celebrations should also be put up on social media with hashtag #cbsened.
