Reading Challenge for Student by British Council

Guidelines for reopening of schools

British Council in collaboration with the Reading Agency has brought a Reading Challenge – an exciting reading adventure for students between the ages of 5 – 11 years to not only encourage them to read for pleasure, but to improve their English, and become confident readers.

The theme of the Reading Challenge is Space Chase, inspired by the 50th anniversary of the moon landing, and participating will require to read a minimum of 6 books in 6 weeks from our collection of 35 new, hand-picked books issued on a returnable basis.

Each participant will:

  • receive a special mission folder to keep a record of their progress
  • collect stickers and rewards for their reading achievements
  • receive a certificate on completing the challenge.

Each participant has to pay a registration fee of INR 3000/-. British Council family membership holders shall get a 50% off on registration fee!

The Reading Challenge is scheduled from Saturday, 9th November 2019 – 11:00 am┬áto┬áSunday, 22 December 2019 – 6:00 p.m. across cities like Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, New Delhi, Bangalore, and Ahmadabad. Read details on the British Council website.
