Scanup IIT Delhi developed android application is another excellent example of ‘Made In India’ or ‘Aatma Nirbhar Bharat’.

Once the Government of India took the decision of banning more than 50 Chinese apps, many of the brilliant minds of our country started burning their midnight oil to come up with the alternative of the apps used by us, one such android app was CamScanner.

Motivated by the Indian Government decision the student from IIT Delhi started working on the alternative of CamScanner and came up with the made in India app called ScanUp.

The current version of ScanUp is an android version and is free to use, without ads or watermarks. This application can be used to scan Documents, Letters, Aadhar cards, certificates, and handwritten notes, and can easily convert them to PDFs file. The converted file can easily be shared with friends and colleagues using sharing options like E-mail, WhatsApp, Telegram, etc.

Highlights of the app:

  1. Scan documents, id cards and much more
  2. Identify text with advanced Optical Character Recognition (OCR)
  3. Edit scanned images
  4. Organize documents by applying tags to them, and search for them instantly when required.
  5. Share as PDF or Image file
  6. Select Dark/Light theme mode as per your preference
  7. Scan QR codes/barcodes
  8. No login is required

The android app is developed by Bugged Up Studios India, which is a team of Indian app developers from IIT Delhi.
