
In order to celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, CBSE affiliated schools have been conducting various interesting activities throughout the year. The activities were conducted as instructed or advised by the CBSE in their circular no. Acad-63/2019 dated 31.10.2019 regarding the celebration of the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
Since the two yearlong tribute of the event will end on 2nd October 2020, schools are advised to conduct activities and events for students and teachers in an appropriate manner ensuring their participation from their homes due to the COVID-19 situation.
Events such as Lecture Series, Home Cleanliness, Elocution, All Faith Prayer, Online Morning Assemblies on Gandhian Philosophy, etc. are to be organized by the schools up to 2nd October 2020.

The Board has requested the schools to keep in mind that the activities undertaken by the schools shall be appropriate to the present COVID -19 times, during the entire celebration of Gandhi Jayanti.
The CBSE has asked all the schools to submit the report on completion of the activity, so that the details may be forwarded to the Ministry of Education.
